Exercise of the Week: Sumo Squat

Do you want to wear shorts but afraid to do so due to "wondering eyes" at legs? Over-conscious because it's not well toned? Then squat you must!

Include sumo squat into your workout plan and get the killer legs you've been dreaming of...


Sumo squat is a variation of regular squat and it targets the inner thighs along with the glutes and quads. It's classified a compound exercise as it engage more lower body muscles. It Is a wonderful exercise, useful for both men and women should to be included your workout routine. It will create wonders for your lower body, and it will really make it firm.

For more instensity, fast gains in strength and size,  use a dumbbell or barbell or a kettlebell or even perform over-head dumbbell triceps extension while doing the squat. But note, caution should be taken while performing weighed squat. Give your muscles time to adapt to the stress of the exercise by  using a lighter weigh, such as one that weighs 2kgs, before increasing intensity the more.


This squat will definitely help reach your goal, sculpt your legs and get almost perfect behind. Be prepared to feel your inner thighs burning the next day!

This How to perform it: 

Stand with your feet  then spread legs wider than hip-width apart, toes slightly turned out, holding weight or just your arms strethrd out in front of your chest. Squat down as low as you can. ensure your heels are on the ground and your back straight and then prress back up to standing. That is one move. Do total of 15 moves.
