Want a single exercise move that will give you rock hard abs?
Hallow Man
Primary Muscle | Abdominals |
---|---|
Secondary Muscle(s) | None |
Difficulty | Beginner |
Also known as | Hollow Body Position, Hollow Body Plank, Hallow hold |
Hallow man is fundamental core gymnastics exercise for developing mid-line stabilization and is an excellent core exercise. It is significantly more challenging than a standard plank exercise and
is harder to hold up. Initially you may find that a 20-second hold is
highly challenging, but you’ll quickly gain endurance.
How to:
- Lie on your back with your legs straight out in front of you, arms resting at your sides. Exhale and raise your legs about 6 inches off the floor.
- Simultaneously crunch up with your lower body and reach your hands out toward your feet. At midpoint of this pose, you should feel as though your mid-section is hollow. Keep your eyes on the ceiling with your chin up.
- Hold this pose for as long as you can, trying to work your way up to a minute.
Need a bigger challenge? Lift your arms over your head.
Will definitely try it this evening... Thanks
