Cut Out the White Stuff To Reduce Body Fat

What's the easiest way to lose weight and improve your health? Ditch the white carbs! Most white foods (bread, rice, pasta, sugar, flour) are primarily made up of refined carbs and empty calories, so cutting them out of your diet is one of the quickest ways to shed pounds and improve your well-being.

A study of more than 60,000 dieters finds those who cut back on refined carbs lost more weight. Eating refined carbs, like white rice, bread and sugar, stimulates the production of insulin, the fat storage hormone within your body. It also increases hunger and largely prevents stored body fat being accessed.

When your diet is full of high glycemic grain foods and sugar, your body is continuously in fat storage mode and unable to use its stored triglycerides for fat burning. These stored triglycerides are primarily found in the adipose tissue around the waist. If you want to reduce your waistline, then start by reducing your refined carbohydrate consumption.

There are a few exceptions to the rule, including egg whites, cauliflower, and fish. Those are the only white foods you should have on hand.
