Motivation Monday: Hacks to Get 30 Minutes of Exercise a Day

30 minutes exercise a day is possible and easy

Having a regular exercise schedule that is developed for your specific needs is a great way to improve your health. But sometimes we don't have time to make it to the gym. These days, it seems like everyone is working more hours and it’s practically difficult for one to take out 30-40 minutes at a stretch daily for walk or any exercise.

But do you know you can exercise in bits, as in exercising in breaks 10 minutes spread throughout the day.  You think it wouldn't help much, right? ...then please read this....

Research has established that a little bit of exercise makes a big difference. And even if you have a jam-packed day, don’t worry. Three 10-minute segments of moderate-intensity exercise throughout the day are acceptable.

If you do 30min. in a day that’s about 200min. in a week, it's better than zero!
Don’t get it wrong, I’m not saying one should give up 30 or 60 minutes exercise either; all you need is 10.

Just 10? Yes, just 10+10+10 = 30 minutes

Forget the "all or nothing" approach when it comes to exercise. Fitness does not live or die by 30-60-minute workouts; there is middle ground. Short spurts of exercise, when they accumulate, have been proven to have similar benefits of longer workouts.

30 minutes a day broken up into manageable sessions of 10min. Start with a fast-paced exercise when you wake up; fast-paced exercises that have been proved to burn tons of calories in a short amount of time. The 2nd session during lunch break is possibly the perfect time to re-energize and get the heart pumping again. The last 10min session could come in the evening, even while you are watching TV. You can go for a powerwalk after dinner with your spouse or ride bikes with the kids.

Just 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day for adults and 60 minutes of physical activity per day for children are recommended by health expert, which can be built up with a variety of activities like going for a brisk walk, jog, or playing team sports, and also incidental exercise. Incidental exercise is any exercise or physical activity built up in small amounts throughout the day, for instance, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking to the bus stop, and even housework and gardening. Incidental exercise keeps our bodies moving and burning energy.Especially for sedentary individuals, the immediate health benefits are huge.

Now, go ahead start with your 10+10+10 = 30 minutes of exercise today!!!
