Exercise of the Week: Knee High

Knee high is a great cardio exercise to get the heart pumping if performed often, it will improve flexibility and power in the lower limbs.knee high workout is a typical running-like movement in which one have to lift his/her knees up yo the waist height. This exercise dramatically increases your heart rate and burns body fats quick.



Knee high incorporates lower-body strength moves and cardio bursts to help you burn fat and build lean muscle. The target muscle groups  knee high work on are quadriceps, gastrocnemius, soleus, gluteus maximus, rectus abdominis, hamstrings, abductors, adductors, tibialis anterior.


How to perfom this move:


  • Stand straight with your feet hip width apart, looking straight, chin up and arms hanging down by your side



  • Jump from one foot to the other at the same time lifting your knees as high as possible, waist height is advisable.



  • Your arms should be following the motion and be sure to land by touchimg the ground with the balls of your feet.



  • Perform for 30 seconds to 60 seconds to increase your heart rate .
